Fincher, Pitt, and Benjamin Button
When director David Fincher and Father or the year Brad Pitt get together, things happen. By this I mean apocalyptic anarchy in “Fight Club” and horrific serial killings in “Seven”. So why should a movie adaptation of a F. Scott Fitzgerald Jazz Age short be any different? Well despite seemingly lighter hearted source material, I am sure that Fincher will put his uniquely unnerving twist on the story. Just listen to the music in the trailer.
No, Benjamin Button, played by Pitt, is not a bootlegger, he is a curious old man that has the unique situation of aging in reverse. A syndrome that gets complicated when he falls in love with Cate Blanchett somewhere around the retroactive age of thirty. This trailer premiered during showings of Indian Jones this week and is only currently available in a foreign tongue.
