Fincher, Pitt, and Benjamin Button
When director David Fincher and Father or the year Brad Pitt get together, things happen. By this I mean apocalyptic anarchy in “Fight Club” and horrific serial killings in “Seven”. So why should a movie adaptation of a F. Scott Fitzgerald Jazz Age short be any different? Well despite seemingly lighter hearted source material, I am sure that Fincher will put his uniquely unnerving twist on the story. Just listen to the music in the trailer.
No, Benjamin Button, played by Pitt, is not a bootlegger, he is a curious old man that has the unique situation of aging in reverse. A syndrome that gets complicated when he falls in love with Cate Blanchett somewhere around the retroactive age of thirty.
