I Didn’t Know I Was Such a Fan of War Movies
I had a little extra cash last week and thought I’d go on a little Amazon shopping spree and order all of those classic movies that have been near and dear to me over the course of my life.
When I was done, I looked at my cart and realized that most all of my movies were war movies – who knew that a girl growing up in the suburbs in the 80’s would grow to be so fascinated with (certain) war movies? Not me.
Here are some trailers and highlights from my top war movie picks:
The Deer Hunter
Werner Herzog’s Rescue Dawn – too new to be a “classic” but great nonetheless
Joseph Heller’s Catch 22 (good but pales in comparison to the book)
And last but not least – Kurt Vonnegut’s Slaughterhouse Five (I need to read this book)
